Annual Physical Exams

There’s a lot that goes into your pet’s health. As a caregiver, you are conscious of your pet’s well being, both physical and mental.   You’re the one who makes decisions about what they eat, how they get their exercise and where they sleep. You also choose their healthcare routines. Bottom line: there’s a lot to think about when it comes to the animals you take care of. Our goal is to help your pet live a long and healthy life with you.

During an annual wellness exam, nose to tail examinations are performed. During the exam, our doctors will perform:

  • Ear / Eye Examination
  • Cardiopulmonary (Heart + Lung) Analysis
  • Temperature Reading
  • Abdominal Palpation
  • Dental Exam
  • Dermatological (Skin) Exam
  • Musculoskeletal Evaluation

Why An Annual Exam?

As mentioned before, there is a lot that goes into being a pet owner. But, there’s a difference between being a pet owner and being a responsible pet owner. Being responsible means that you can give your pet everything it needs to survive, and then some. Owning a pet isn’t about the owner; it’s about the relationship the owner has with their pet. It’s important to make that a healthy relationship you can take pride in.

As a responsible pet owner, you may be asking yourself why your pet would need a regular wellness check. Think about it this way: your own physician and dentist recommends you see them once a year to make sure everything is running smoothly. If you go in once a year to your physician and dentist, they will be able to detect any problems in the early stages. It’s the same with the animals you take care of. Additionally, if you catch a problem early on, it’s more likely to be treated and taken care of with less expense to you, less difficulty for the medical team, and better long-term health for your pet.

Tailored to Your Pet

When you schedule a routine check up, it’s just one of the many things you do to make sure your animal is as healthy as possible. These routine checks can prevent major problems and pain to your pet. When you schedule a regular deworming, regular vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness care, you can prevent life-threatening illness and disease that can be emotionally and financially expensive to treat.

Invest in your pet’s health. Be consistent in the care you provide.  The preventative measures you take now will reap the priceless rewards of longevity and happiness for your pet.  All you need to do is talk to your veterinarian. Some breeds and species are predisposed to certain health problems, so make sure you know what to look for and what your veterinarian is looking for.  We are here to guide you and provide answers to your questions.

Give your pet the care it needs to have the best life possible by scheduling an annual exam.  It’s up to you to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and above all, healthy.
